Don’t just stand there on the sidelines, come join AIGA KC for Portfolio Day and keep the ball rolling! At our portfolio workshop you’ll have experienced designers in your corner giving you one-on-one feedback so you can keep your eye on the prize and achieve your goals!
We’ve scheduled the portfolio workshop early in the semester to give you a jump-start on evolving the most important tool in your job-hunting arsenal. Plus, the workshop is exclusively for AIGA members, so you’ll get a leg up on your non-member friends. Want to become a member? Online sign-up is fast, and students can join for just $50 any time of year.

Recent Grads Presenting: Jay Livingston-KU, Jenny Utt-UCM, Amanda Fuson-UCM
Intrigued by storytelling, Jay is always pushing to help define, create, and develop great stories as an important part of the design team at Dimensional Innovations. He believes everyone and every client has a unique story, it’s just a matter of connecting the dots. Not afraid to tackle any design problem, he thrives on working and living in the unexpected.
An obsession with tactility and the human connection of design, he is always thinking through the lens of the end user. As a designer at DI, he focuses on the big picture ideas of brand activated spaces. From spatial flow diagramming to kiosk design, he tailors every interaction within an end users experience.
His professional experiences range from professional sports teams, fortune 500 corporations, and to local Kansas City charities. His portfolio consists of product development, experiential design, user experience, graphic design, illustration, and environmental design.
Jay graduated with a degree in Industrial Design from the University of Kansas. Outside of the design studio, he can be found racing his bike on the roads.
Jenny Utt graduated from the University of Central Missouri in 2016 with a degree in graphic design and psychology. Her passion for giving back to the community has fueled her journey since graduation, having collaborated with nonprofits such as the American Heart Association and Sunflower House. After completing an internship at Walz Tetrick Advertising right out of school, she took an Associate Designer position at Sullivan Higdon & Sink, where she is currently employed, as well as working as an Art Director for Sunflower House.
Amanda Fuson graduated in May of 2016 with BFAs in Graphic Design and Studio Illustration from the University of Central Missouri. She previously interned at Lexmark Enterprise Software, Blacktop Creative, and Sullivan Higdon & Sink before being hired on full-time at Sullivan Higdon & Sink. She is currently an Associate Art Director on the Sonic Drive-In team. In her free time, she enjoys embroidering, spending time with her pet rabbit, and binge-watching crime dramas.
