KC Design Week 2013

Kansas City Design Week 2013
February 28 – March 8

As February comes to an end, Kansas City Design Week will just be heating up! Kicking off with a rockin’ Gig Poster Exhibit and Special Film Screening on Feb 28, Design Week 2013 packs a punch with 14 diverse events over eight days.

At KC Design Week, you can cultivate all your design personalities. The Graphic Designer in you will drool over hand-crafted homages to bands at the “Buy This Poster” Gig Poster Exhibit. Geek out your Industrial Designer side with the possibilities of home 3D printing at “MakerBot and the Next Industrial Revolution” or hone your 3-D modeling skills at the “Grasshopper Design & Fabrication 3-day Workshop.”

Environmental Design brains and Design Educators alike will revel in the discovery of a new kind of museum at Design Museum Boston’s “Design is everywhere. So are we." Inspire your Architectural itch at the “Kansas City Gems: Art Deco Architecture Tour of Downtown KC,” and strut your Interior/Fashion Designer self at “Color + Couture presents ‘Assembled,’” where you can team up in interdisciplinary teams to create quirky garments from found materials.

With these events and so many more, KC Design Week is where all parts of the design world intersect. Check out KCDesignWeek.org for a full listing of events and to register online.
