AIGA Kansas City is turning 30 this year. For our 30th anniversary, we are creating a curated Legacy category celebrating Kansas City’s most iconic design created between 1989-2017. The exhibit will become the cornerstone for design here. KC. a permanent digital archive that will preserve KC design and make it searchable and shareable for future generations.
Thursday, August 1 is the final deadline to identify projects for the AIGA Legacy Exhibition and permanent archive, designed here. KC. Don’t worry about final files or your presentation, as you’ll have until mid-September to prepare for the exhibit and archive. All you need to do by Thursday is click on the link below, identify projects/campaigns/clients. Take a few quick low res digital snapshots to identify work and send $30 for each entry. KC. is a national AIGA archiving and preservation initiative to engage regional designers, companies, and institutions to craft a living story of Kansas City’s regional contribution to our national design legacy. AIGA KC and Ann Willoughby, founder and principal emeritus of Willoughby Design, are coordinating this effort with Kelly Ludwig, president emeritus AIGA.
