At the AIGA KC Portfolio Workshop, you’ll get one-on-one portfolio feedback from experienced designers and network with fellow design students so you can set yourself up for success. There will also be enlightening breakout lectures on topics like self-promotion, job search etiquette and advice from recent grads so you can land your dream job.
¡Mucho Gusto! Trading Card Exchange Bring an edition of 10, 5x5” cards to exchange with fellow students. The cards must say a greeting, with name and contact info. Make sure one element of your card uses analog materials, but the remainder can embrace your digital comfort zone. Grab a sharpie, make a linoleum block, stickers, gauche or whatever material you love. These aren’t your typical business cards, but a chance to loosen up and do something creative. Don’t forget the edition of 10! We’ll display one for all to see, and provide a limited edition portfolio to collect your favorite 9.
We’ve scheduled the portfolio workshop early in the semester to give you a jump-start on evolving the most important tool in your job-hunting arsenal. Plus, the workshop is exclusively for AIGA members, so you’ll get a leg up on your non-member friends.
