About Criswell Lappin and the Institute of Play
Criswell is Creative Director at the Institute of Play. Founded in 2007 by a group of game designers, it’s home to an interdisciplinary team of designers, strategists and learning practitioners. Criswell is responsible for the Institute’s design practice and its creative output. Bringing experience from both commercial and cultural sectors, Criswell has developed new products at the innovation consultancy Fahrenheit 212, directed the creative at Metropolis magazine for over a decade and also worked at the Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum.

About the New Design Spectrum Series
Design Spectrum is a new  3-part series exploring cutting-edge ideas and practitioners from the world of design. Covering a spectrum of creative fields, this series will include speakers from graphic design to product design and architecture. Design Spectrum is a partnership between The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, AIGA Kansas City and AIA Kansas City.
