HUMAN MADE: A Trends Presentation

Join us for HUMAN MADE: A Trends Presentation.

Early signs of material and product trends can be found in the studios of artists and
crafts-people. Often times these early adopters are experimenting with new
materials and techniques that inspire and inform emerging trends in home décor
and fashion. The revival of age-old crafts such as weaving and woodworking has
made the “handmade industry” as much of a go-to source for trend inspiration as
high- fashion.

Melissa Powlas will take an up close look at what is trending in handmade
with color, material, and process . She will also take a look at cultural shifts and
trends that support the continued interest in the art and craft of handmade as a
source of inspiration.

Lunch will be provided (advanced registrants only).
