Grab your sketchbooks and join us for a two-session workshop with local illustrator, educator, and sketchbook addict, David Terrill. David will share his passion for the sketchbook in a two-session workshop experience featuring a virtual artist talk and an in-person workshop.

Session #1 | Virtual

Meet us via Zoom on Monday, January 10th, from 11 am-12 pm for a lunch-and-learn session. David will talk about chronicling his travels to China in his sketchbook, the communicative power of drawing, and recommended art supplies for session two.

Session #2 | In-person

Join David on Saturday, January 15th, 10 am – 2 pm, for an in-person, hands-on sketchbook workshop at the brand-new Kansas City Art Institute’s Tony Jones Studios, Illustration Studio. We will draw, paint, experiment with new mark-making tools, and embrace the unexpected.

Masks will be required indoors for all individuals regardless of vaccination status.
