Trends 2013

From ancient oral tradition to digital storytelling, human beings have always intuited the significance of stories. The desire to preserve shared memories or historic information is encoded – like DNA – within us.

Storytelling will accelerate as high tech proliferates. As universal stories spread around the globe, so will common contexts of understanding. Meaningful narrative will endure as a way to make sense of human experience – to integrate the past, live in the present and embrace the future.

Join AIGA KC for a lunch-and-learn about the forecast for the future. In “Life = Story,” Hallmark trends expert Marita Wesely will discuss the trend of storytelling as well as other societal changes and cultural and consumer observations to give you the upper hand in an ever-changing marketplace.

Scrumptious boxed lunches from Ingredient will be provided for those who register by Monday, May 13. And you'll have a chance to win one of three trendy books.
