Trends to Translation demonstrates how societal moves and shifts inform the development of real-life design solutions.
We designers drool over trends. In love with what’s next, we always have one eye towards the future, but how do we take that pile of research and translate it into meaningful visual solutions? In Trends to Translation, we’ll discuss how societal moves and shifts can become appealing and stylistic design directions.
Join Marita Wesely and Cece Merkle of the Hallmark Trends Studio for this lunch event as they explore select cultural trends such as The Power of One; So Much for Multitasking; Curation Nation; Co-Creation; and Refinement Returns. Cece will share visual examples of how Hallmark Trends designers have gathered inspiration and applied cultural trend forecasting to concept, design and product creation.
A scrumptious lunch from Fresh Catering KC will be served (advance registrants only), and all attendees will have a chance to win one of three trendy design books.
