Use Your Voice: A Procreate Workshop with Marisol Ortega

Voting is essential to our democracy, not only in presidential elections but in local ones, as well. It’s vital we use our talents to encourage others to participate in all elections, so their voices are heard on both the local and national level.

Marisol Ortega, a Mexican-American illustrator and designer, will lead this hands-on event. Her body of work includes bold mark-making, patterns, and block-printing. She is currently freelancing, but in the past, has worked for companies including Starbucks, Amazon, and Hallmark. Throughout her career, she has shared her process and design knowledge to demonstrate how others can utilize their own skills to have their voices heard and make an impact.

At this workshop, Ortega will discuss the power of using ones talents to encourage others to take positive action. She’ll walk us through examples of her work, as well as the work of others she admires, while also sharing her creative process. Finally, attendees will create their own piece, unique to their vision and voice. You'll walk away from this experience with a piece of art that is authentic to one’s beliefs and able to encourage community action through creative expression.

Each ticket sold includes assets created by Ortega and a custom Procreate brush.
